I became an artist because I enjoy color, composition, and the sheer beauty of art. Studying the great painters-such as impressionists Auguste Renoir and Vincent Van Gogh and various pop artists of the 20th century, I created renderings with realistic lines but my own blending of color and strong vibrant colors that stand out in the imagination. I paint who I see walking down the street as well as public figures and historic figures. I enjoy translating real life to canvas.
