Karen Brinkerhoff


Karen Brinkerhoff, a native of Utah , is a self-taught artist who believes in social change through unity and diversity. Martin Luther King's and Gandhi's convictions for equality have been an enduring inspiration in her mission to illustrate the human spirit. Her favorite artist is Norman Rockwell and she most admires his later works for his eloquent portrayal of freedom and tolerance.

Karen was commissioned by the Salt Lake City Paralympic Committee to paint an original piece of art for the 2002 Paralympics. Additionally, her artwork “The Rainbow Series” was on display in the Salt Lake City Olympic Athletes Village. Karen's loyal clientele includes non-profit agencies, education associations, community groups and diverse entities universally.

Karen is currently on the board of speakers for, “The Martin Luther King Human Rights Commission”. In her work with people that have mental and physical disabilities, she has implemented art therapy to enhance communication and self-esteem.

In her words, “I feel children are the seeds planted for a better tomorrow. I hope to bring all people together. To encourage acceptance of one another for our differences and recognize the power of unity and love, to bring a world of peace.”
