Issac Leventer was born in Jerusalem with an artistic ability to express on canvas his innermost feelings and thoughts. Issac started painting at the age of 15, but it wasn't until recently his true talents started to become evident. At age 28, he left Jerusalem and moved to California. Isaac's paintings are inspired by his religious background and Salvador Dali whom Isaac regards as a great master. The paintings that Isaac creates begin with an idea - political, religious, social or a combination of all three. He then researches his subject extensively for images and colors. Issac develops the idea with sketches and reworks the paintings many times until he is satisfied with the final result. He describes this as the most difficult part of the process, but he must be completely satisfied with a painting before he will call it finished. His work expresses both messages and ideals in a surrealistic style.
